Hi,

First of all, it is of the standard functionality of SAP that when there is any change in the purchase order after the PO is printed out, then SAP will obviously generate a new change message even if the changed field is not included in table T166C. However, if you set up your condition record for your change message type in such a way that the print-out will be done automatically via either PO save or ME9F, then a typical standard error message ME140 will be popped up which prevents you from sending out your change message to the vendor if the changed field is not print-relevant change. However, if the change message is processed via SP01/SP02 transaction, then there is no way SAP can prevent you from sending out the change message to the vendor.
