Is the 2nd system a DR system? If it is a DR System look the documentation for your database regarding Log shipping.

What is your database version?
As far as I know, what you want is not possible. You cannot work on another system, and getting data copied from the source system at the same time. it's either one or the other.
you can copy your system, but after copy is made, you cannot sync... unless you are in standby mode.... but this mode brings the database in non-usable mode.
