Hi,
No, SAP doesn't care about the volume name. The volume just has to be assigned to the correct server and mounted as a drive, but this is config done outside of SAP.
I take for granted that the volume name wasn't changed whilst SAP was up and running.

Dear Experts,
I just came to know that my company admin has changed the volume name for SAN storage, but drive name remains same. this might be the reason. If there is a volume change do i need to update this change any where in sap?
We use SAN drive for Oracle data storage.
