Hi Folks,

Ok, someone configured a custom movement type to be quantity updating
but NOT value updating. This movement type was only supposed to be used
for customer to customer transfer of consignment stock within the same
plant (basically because some users were lazy and didn't want to go
through the full process of return from one customer and reissue to
another). This actually works fine as long as it is used only for
transfers between customers within the same plant (valuation is at plant
level and negative stocks are allowed in the plant). Now, some of the
users have been using it for cross-plant transfers (for years). This has
the effect of transferring the stock quantity into the receiving plant
but not the value so MARD stock = 1 MBEW stock and value = 0 in the
receiving plant and MARD stock = 0 MBEW stock and value = 1 in the
sending plant. When that item is then moved out using a standard SAP
movement it downdates the stock but also downdates the value so now we
have a situation where the MARD stock is 0 but the MBEW stock and value
is -1 (negative 1). I have tried using PI docs to correct things but
they didn't work. Also tried changing the standard price and that didn't
work either.

So, my question is can anyone suggest any other solution (apart from
reversing all the movements) bearing in mind that it is only the MBEW
stocks and values which are incorrect.

Cheers

Keith
