Hi 1. The leave granted for first year is best dealt with by a IT 2013 entered through the pers hiring action and dynamic actions (which also can call a routine to calculate the pro-rata and default it in the IT 2013 for an abs quota type). The user can enter/change the pro-rata entl if required. 2. The normal accrual should be based on the anniversary of calendar year (I assume this is your business requirement). 3. For trainees, use a different empl.subgroup and ESG grpg for quota type as compared to the normal employees. Then for this ESG grpg, in the Validity/Deduction intervals part V_T559L (or V_T559D), set the (i)Deduction to date as start of validity interval; (ii)relative position = 12m. This will make P2006-DEEND = 12m DEBEG. For the others, the relative position is to be 999m from transfer date. This will make P2006-DEEND = 31/12/9999 (assuming dd/mm/yyyy format). The abs quota entl will be available till P2006-DEEND irrespective of the validity of the IT 2006 record. Some people think that the record needs to be valid (or the P2006-ENDDA needs to be after abs period; and the abs quota balance needs to be rolled over for next year; it is not so. Only the absence period needs to be between P2006-BEGDE and ENDDE. Hope this helps.
