We are using SAP PI (process integration) to forward EDI IDOCS to our backup ERP system to perform updates to invoices. What is the best practice for the security role residing in the ERP system? Should it be limited to just the functionality needed or can I give it a wider range of access? Of utmost interest is S_RFC. I feel it should be limited, but I am getting push back from the EDI team.
