Hello All,
SAP transaction S_P00_07000285 Vendor Operation (Brazil) allows the user to record what amounts to 100% contingent liability for a payment made by a bank to the selling firm, with the customer to eventually repay the bank. Can it be configured to handle partial contingent liability- where the selling firm has contingent liability for only a percentage of the sale amount?
Here is the normal SAP processing for a vendor operation payment, which assumes full "contingent liability" for the customer payment:
1. Generate a customer invoice with special payment method V.
2. Generate a vendor operation document (VOD) using tcode S_P00_07000285, which posts a new document for the full amount of the original invoice plus interest and bank charges. This does not clear the original invoice.
3. Run F110 to create a payment request for the VOD and to generate an output file to be sent to the paying bank.
4. The bank sends payment, which is recorded via the EBS, and which clears the original invoice.
5. Later, the bank notifies the seller in a second EBS whether or not the customer repaid the bank. The VOD and payment request are cleared.
6. If the customer did not pay, SAP creates a new invoice for the VOD amount.
Is it possible to configure SAP so that in step 2, we can get a VOD for only 30% (for example) of the invoice amount? Or else set an indicator that shows contingent liability for only 30%, so that in step 6, the new invoice is for 30% of the original amount plus interest and fees?
