Dear All,

I have queries in backup on tape drive the tape size is 1 TB.
We are using ecc6 on windows

I have make changes as below in initSID.sap

backup_type = online

backup_dev_type = tape

compress = no

archive_function = save_delete


rewind = "mt -f $ rewind"

rewind_offline = "mt -f $ offline"

tape_pos_cmd = "mt -f $ fsf $"

tape_size = 100G

tape_address = /dev/nmt0

tape_address_rew = /dev/mt0


label the tape by brbackup.exe -i force -v PRD01.
I need to know the confutation is ok

1 my db size is 500gb and tape size is tdb so I can use same tape (eg mon, tue)
2 how I will restore if need (plz tell me command ) and any Information related tape drive backup mang that I should know because before we are taking backup on disk
