Omar,

Michelin has similar charateristics in Material Master as Bridgeston but do you want to maintain the same master number? Or you want to create a new number and maintain the bridgestone number as old material number?

Availability check and stock is by material and I don't think you can have cross check in the standard SAP in another way. ABAP enhancement?

I have two materials that are similar but from different manufacturers. In
this case it's Bridgestone and Michellin. The company is switching to
Michellin but we still have Bridgstone in stock and have canceled the
re-orders for the old number. Is there a place on the Material Master that
can link these two materials such that when Michelin orders more units it
should alert me that we are not overstocked with both altogether?
