Yes it is the correct process. See SAP note 108799 as recommended earlier in
this message.

Hi Guys,
I just would like to confirm If I understand you correctly.
On the same instance you can add more than one Spool Work Process correct?
We currently have a situation where our client has gone live and alot output
requests are taking up to 5 minutes to process them. Would increasing the
spool work on the same SAP instance be fine or is it advised to install
another instance just for Spool work proccesses?
Please advise
