Hello,
Some 6-7 years back I had seen some problems with business areas. There were
many entries getting posted to non business area and the balance sheet
didn't used to get tallied. The problem was particulary related to tax
accounts. Another thing is a document can have only one segment and one
business area. Suppose you want Geographical and product related segments
both then in that case you can have both business area and segment. An
alternate would be COPA but that would not accomodate balance sheet items.
