I would recommend using mrp type PD. I have never used R1 but it appears to be more of a reorder point mrp type based upon the config behind it.

I have a material using time-phased planning MRP type R1. I have maintained a planning cycle to order every other tuesday. i maintained a forecast for the next 6 months. when i run MRP, i only get one purchase requisition and i expect to get one every two weeks. what do i need to look at?
