Well... If the standard bapi fails ... we're in trouble! :)
Of course, a way to check if the standard code has a problem (or even more) is to search for oss notes related to it. If you get one or more, then an abaper should talk to your functional team and decide if they will apply them or not.

Hello all
Thanks for the reply. I am actually calling the BAPI in a non sap system. Although the bapi is solving the purpose but i just want to make sure that the standard BAPI would work fine in non sap system.
