[sap-log-pp] Scrap notification for production Order in TECO status.

Hello guys
My client is making scrap of PT's after production order TECO status, I'm not sure if this is correct.. what would by the effects of doing this?? cost recalculations?? settlement is being affected?? they are even executing this scrap for production orders older than a month...
Is this normal?? what are your suggestions in order to have a correct FI/CO record..
any help is fully appreciated.
