Have you checked your evaluation paths? It almost sounds like the system isn't recognizing the hierachy correctly.

Subject: Disappearing Cost centers assignment in OM and rules/guideline
> Dear all,
When assigning cost centers to organizational units in OM, I noticed that SAP automatically removes the assignment of other cost centers. For example: Cost Center A is assigned to an Org unit X, Cost Center B to a org unit below X (called Y). So far so good. When I assign again cost center A to an org unit below Y, the first cost center is removed by SAP. No warnings or error messages or whatever. Positions suddenly have another cost center or even no cost center. I can discover a common cause in this behavior or find documentation on it.
Does anybody recognize this issue?
Does anybody have some rules/ guidelines how to set up the cost center structure in OM (I know how to assign cost centers in OM and understand the technical setup with the relations/ objects) I am looking for some user manual or something what is allowed and what not.
Thanks in advance,
Maarten
