Maarten,
Have you resolved this issue? I'm experiencing the same thing. I understand Jagan's response that OU inherits CC from above, but I should be able to relate the same CC to as many OU's as I want without the top-level OU's losing their direct CC assignment. I have combed through SAP Forums, reviewed T77S0, and cannot find any reason why this is happening.
When I add the same CC to a subordinate OU, I get a pop-up warning that duplicate records will be deleted/delimited, even though the OU I'm working on has no CC yet at the time. I've noticed that the top-level OU has its CC assignment delimited in accordance with the start date of the new subordinate OU. If both start dates are the same, the top-level OU CC disappears altogether. I can't locate anything in Time Constraints that deals with this. Please advise if you have come across a resolution. Thanks.
Dave

> Hi Maarten and Nancy<br/><br/>It is not the TC. It is only the inheritance property. An OU will inherit CC assigned to a OU at the next higher level wherever it is. Similarly the positions in the OU structure inherit the CC from above; then the person/s holding the position/s. At any level, the CC assgnmt can be changed.<br/><br/>Example: Consider a OU structure as below:<br/> OU A ->A1 ->A1-1, A1-2,<br/> ->A2 ->A2-1<br/> ->A3 ->A3-1<br/> OU A1-2 has pos: P01, P02, P03, etc.<br/> P01 is assigned to emp E01<br/> P02 to E02, etc.<br/><br/>'A' has CC = C01. So all the descendancts inherit this.<br/><br/>If 'A1-2' has cc = C02, then this OU and any positions under and any empl under will inherit this instead of C01.<br/><br/>If P02 has CC = C03, then empl E02 inherits C03.<br/><br/>Again empl E02 may have temporary CC assignments (IT 27) say C09 for a certain period. For the remaining periods the CC will be the parent CC C03<br/><br/>Hope this helps.<br/>Regards, JG
