Hi Prasad
The derived wage types allow you to split up elements of a payment. E.g. overtime paid at 1.25 of the empl's normal rate. You can have the overtime wage type valuated at the base rate (say wage type /001) at 100%, and a second (derived) wage type valued at the base rate, at 25%. That way management can be informed what premium they have paid (i.e. 25% of his normal hourly rate) for the overtime.
Hope this helps, Regards
Ralph
