Dear Hameed,
Any delta update can occur only when the initialization of delta
has taken place. Both Full update and Initialization of Delta, transfers
the entire data irrespective of any addition/updation to the data. Here we
need to understand that normally for the first time data transfer, we go
for full update and then we need to go for delta, but technically delta
update is not possible without initialization. And if we go for Full
Update and then again with Initialization, then the same data will be
loaded twice (duplication of data). So, if we are going with Full Update
for the first time, then before moving for Delta update then we need to go
for Initialization but without the data transfer. This will serve both the
purposes of getting the entire data initially and then Delta updation with
Initialization process.
1.Initialize with Data transfer
Here entire data is transfered to the DataTarget. NOTE THAT THERE
SHOULD BE NO DATA UPLOADED PREVIOUSLY ORELSE DUPLICATION OF DATA MAY TAKE
PLACE.
2.Initialize without transfer
Here Delta process is initialized but without the transfer of
entire data again thereby maintaining the integrity of the data.

Hope, it will help you.

Thanks & Regards,
Piyush

[sap-bw] Differences between delta uploading types

Hi
While doing a delta update,we have an option called
Initialize delta process and in it we have 2 options:
1.Initialize with Data transfer
2.Initialize without transfer
and early delta Initialization
Please explain me the differnce and use of the above options.
