Hi everyone One Pers area can have one/more pers sub areas. Similarly one or more pers areas can be assigned to a company code; this depends on one company being a legal entity. Hence when a person is assigned to another pers area, it is not necessary to assign a new pers no. New pers no. would be required only when a person is newly hired; in some cases, to avoid certain problems, when an empl changes from casual to permanent emploment, or vice versa, a new empl no. would be assigned. Thus gratuity would be based on the employee's tenure in a legal entity. Hope this helps.
