I think the reason F.01 doesn't have drilldown to line items is that because the selection criteria is so broad that the number of transactions called would be extensive and therefore impractical. I don't have access to an SAP system at present but I suggest you try some of the GL report writer reports (GR55) or GL drilldown reports (FSI0) that start with a GL balances and allow you to navigate (drill down) to year then period and you'll find a drilldown to line items available on at least one of the handful of reports. If you know how to change/display a GR55 report, you'll see in the Report to Report interface area that program RFSOPO00 is available. That makes line items available for the selection criteria. In the FSI0 reports (01RFRRSI0 for example) the report to report interface uses RFGLRE_ITEMS program to present related line items. Both of these reporting types force the user to limit the selection of related items and that is a good thing.

Subject: Drill Down Details in F.01 Report

In standard Financial statement report, you can only look at the balances of GLs. Drilldown option at the line item level is not available in F.01 report.
