No no not a good strategy. He will have to read the MESSTAB in my opinion.

Hi, fellow ABAPers,
I am reviewing a contractor's code and I see a suspect bit of code. After a CALL TRANSACTION with a BDC table, he checks for errors by checking for a non-zero SY-SUBRC rather than LOOPing at MESSTAB WHERE msgtyp = 'E'. Is that going to be reliable? Methinks not. What do you think?
