Dear Mugerar,

This is not a specific SAP technical issue response, as I do not believe
that this is a necessarily a SAP technical issue.

This is quite a common issue that usually arises from poor user training.
There are several potential causes of this problem, but in particular, if
invoices are processed for payment without being matched to the GRN you will
have outstanding unmatched GRN's which will cause the finance people quite
a headache. The usual response is simply to delete the GRN's as this
resolves the finance functions problems. Unfortunately, this impacts on the MAP
valuation as you now have a receipt priced at zero.

This is a procedural issue and should be resolved by having clear
procedures and adequate training. Therefore you will not stop it happening again
until these issues are resolved.

You should analyse the transactions on a particular material giving rise to
this problem so as to identify who did what, you then have a chance of
creating a solution.

Subject: Moving average price issue

On material document xxxxxx we received a credit of $146.88 on 864 pieces due to wrong price received . When the quantities are added together the -864
from the credit wipes out half the quantity which doubles the moving average price.

There are a large amount of material masters that have wrong moving average price. We need to run a report to see what items had a credit
attached to them to adjust the pricing correctly.

How do we stop this from happening in the future? Is there another transaction that should be using for credits awarded by vendor?

Thank you,
Eric McDonald
