To over come this issue of scheduling work on a non-working day we created a different capacity version which can be assigned to individual work orders as required. This version is set up with a 24/7 working time calendar which allows the work order to be scheduled when ever. We mostly use it for overtime nightshift type work orders.

The capacity version is located in the dates window of a work order under scheduled date fields

Below is the SAP description

Version of Available Capacity

Number with which you identify the version of the available capacity.

Use

The different versions are used for parallel maintenance of several
available capacities for a capacity.

In scheduling, the version of the available capacity entered is used as
the basis for scheduling. If this version is not maintained, the active
version of the available capacity is used as the basis for scheduling.

Subject: Scheduling WO on non-working calendar day

I'm a scheduler using SAP IW37N for scheduling work orders and activities. Many times I need to schedule for on a non-working day of our calendar as over time but it will not let me. I have to choose a day of either side but I need to publish this schedule for the department. How can I schedule on non-working days?
