We are NOT using PI. The IDOCs in question are in status 51 or 64 but practically can be any other status as well.
If I set status 73, will it safeguard from any re-processing triggered by any standard transaction/report?
Any lead to the solution will be helpful.

Recently we faced an issued wherein Old IDOCs (ADRMAS) were processed accidently leading to data inconsistency.
Apart from Archiving the Old IDOCs, is there any other control which we can establish to avoid such accidents (manual errors).
