called by the t-code and the variant name. It appears as if nothing happens
when you execute, but the lock is removed from the variant. You are then
free to update it as normal and re-lock it under your user ID if you desire.

Hi,
You should be able to overwrite it.
Go in your transaction
get the variant (Shift F5)
on the pop up screen(find variant) remove the name on the Created by field
now you should be able all the variant
then double click on the one t you want to overwrite
you are back on the main screen but the dynamic selection the small flag (red green blue)
you can see 1 active click on it
now you can see all the setting details
you can now change what you want
and save
on the next screen variant attribute save to overwrite the data
