Not sure I understand-it is not enough to modify the SA's stock type from"blank" to "X" in order to get the stock type field populated bu default with X when performing further GR's?
PS-material's masterdata is already modified(PCH&work scheduling views)

Dear Raul,
First you have to maintain "Post to Inspection Stock" check box in material
master Purchasing view.
Before you modified Material master, if you already have PO against this
specific material then QI will not be defaulted (until and unless buyer has
changed stock type to QI in PO) while you will post the GR but any new PO
which you will create against this material will default QI as stock type in
PO & GR provided Buyer will not change stock type in the PO (Delivery tab).
