Hi,
My database was 800GB at that time. It could have been 5TB, it would have taken 15 minutes too.
I built a complete new server on 64-bit with R/3 4.7 and Oracle 9.x which were the same releases as the source system... but in 64-bit.
When the D day arrived, I shutdown my DB on source system, I called my Os admin. He moved SAN partitions from old server to new server. From that point, I was able to see database files on my new system. I started the DB and converted the DB to 64-bit. you can get procedure at https://weblogs.sdn.sap.com/pub/wlg/10930 . Also visit SAP note 940811.
Finally, I changed a few things here and there in SAP as per post-processing steps from the homogeneous system copy guide.
There ya go. A migration in 15 minutes or less.
For the reorg, you can reorg most tablespace online using SAP note 646681. No need for downtime.
