Hi Snowy, I know that the SAPinst export/import method, involve great DOWNTIME, especially if a large database is involved. It's amazing what you say about your 64-bit migration. How large was your database and what method are you used? At the same time I want to migrate the system to 64-bit version . At this time the system is SAP R / 3 ENTERPRISE ES 2.0 -32 bit nonunicode, installed on Windows 2003 Server EE with Oracle database 9.2.0.6 - cluster installation. > I need your experience to 'illuminate' some issues > 1. Can be install SAP R / 3 Enterprise Ext. 2.0 - 64 bit on a Windows 2008 Server EE machine? > 2. Is The "Homogeneous System Copy" the best way to do this? > 3 . I want to use export/import methode ( to do the database reorganization at the same time) using SAPinst for System Copy. I'ts Ok ? > 4. Any documentation relating to "Homogeneous System Copy" and "Migrations SAP R / 3 to 64 bits" would be an invaluable aid, because for now I found only "Installation Guide" on SAP Marketplace. > > Many thanks and best regards... > > Marcel. | __.____._ Copyright © 2010 Toolbox.com and message author.
