We are facing a scenario where we wish to reduce the remaining life of the asset in order to take increased depreciation. The objective is to write off the asset within the next 2-3 months.
Option 1: I tried to use unplanned depreciation but the system is not allowing me because the planned depreciation for the rest of the year is still being considered and only the balance amount is available for write-off.
Option 2: Same is the case when I use the write-up transaction but put negative values. Option 3: Unable to use the third option viz manual depreciation and get a message that manual depreciation cannot be posted using the existing depreciation key.

Am I missing something here?
