You have many options, and I see some of them were already covered.
1. Best is to use tcode MB1B - I suggest with mvm 201 or 551; the others movement types mentioned 309 / 522 also work.
2. You can cancel the material document for that PN -either use MBST with material document or MIGO_GR, cancel document.
3. You can adjust the stock. If it has HU, then transfer it with LT10 to 921 or 925, and perform HU02. Then adjust it with MI01. If it doesn't have HU (handling unit) then transfer it to 999, and perform LI21.

Subject: Removing Stock Without a Serial Number
Hello,
The Material Master was set up to assign a serial number on release only.
Someone received stock as a Good Receipt (without PO) and did not assign a serial number to it.
Now I can not create a delivery docket, Inventory Counting or do a stock transfer or any action as it asks me to select a serial number, for a part that does not have one.
Any solution to remove the stock or even be able to add a serial number to the existing stock would be greatly appreciated.
