I think it would be easier to use IW37N or another Operations LIst Display or Report to download to Excel. The ALV output on these reports is most friendly.
Menu path List > Export > Spreadsheet works well. Excel will open once you save to a file directory.
The older method is Menu path System>List>Save>Local, then Unconverted. This takes it to a text file that you can import directly into Excel.
I don't think SAP setup any way to downloading straight from the Operations tab on IW33, etc.
