Monty, I am going to try your suggestion about the DWS and constants in our Sandbox environment. I want to set it up to pay $1.50 per hour for shift premium for every hour charged when the daily schedule is for Night Shift. I think I know how to set up the constant value for this under Payroll with the wage type and 'Constant Valuation' but am not certain about the DWS class. I see a field for 'DWS Selection Rule' when creating a DWS but no 'DWS Class'. Is the Sel Rule what you are referring to? And how do I link that to the wage type that has theconstant valuation of $1.50? Thanks for all your help so far.

I have been asked to configure our system (ECC 6) to add a time type and wage type to handle a fixed night shift premium of $1.50 per hour. The employees would enter two lines in CATS: one line for the regular hours worked on their shift (and paid at their regular rate) and a second line with the same hours, that would be charge to a night-shift time type. The employee would then be paid $1.50 per hour for every hour entered for the night-shift time type. Can the experts out there provide me with some guidelines or suggestions as to how to best set this up? I am quite comfortable with setting up new time types and wages but not certain about what I might have to do in the time evaluation schema and rules and/or in the pay schema and rules. (This is for Canadian payroll.) Thanks for any help you can give me. |
